Here's my response to the e-mail that DWOW sent out...WAY TO GO!!! I am a huge fan of what ECW used to be...but what I saw Tuesday night was NOT ECW, not even close! ECW, much like DWOW, was never about flashy camera work, slick video editing, hell...half the time it wasn't even about good wrestling...it was about ENTERTAINING the fans! Who here can say that they were entertained in the least Tuesday night? Besides the whole "oh shit, this is a trainwreck...I gotta watch to see how f**king bad it gets" factor...there was nothing entertaining about the new ECW!
And if anyone watched Smackdown tonight...you know how far WWE is sinking. I honest to God fell asleep before the main event. The best parts of the damn show was Vito in a dress and Finally's midget attacking the wrong guy...and even those gimmicks are getting real old, real quick.
LONG LIVE DWOW!!

We have received over 50 requests (thus far) to be REMOVED from the DWOW email list, after today's email was sent. This is the most ever in one mailing. In fact, we only removed 21 emails in the last 5 months, must due to unavailable email boxes. This email really hit a chord with the casual wrestling fans! MOD. Proof positive, perhaps, that many casual wrestling fans are morons. It's kind of funny. Most people in this country of any political persuasion would swear up and down that they are for free speech - at the same time jumping up and down for someone to suppress the speech that they don't like. Now these people can't even take you cats making a pointed comparison between your company's product and the product of another company. It's just flat-out stupidity. Personally I had been hoping that the ECW t&a segment would have been interrupted by Jazz running out, picking up "Kelly" and powerbombing her through a table. Now THAT would have been extreme!

You know I don't really have an opinion one way or another bug f**k DWOW spams me with 50 e-mails a day to come talk about this on the message boards, so I guess I will.
1) I think DWOW is jealous of WWE and ECW. They could have had what WWE has, hell they could have had what WEW has, and they smoked it like a bong. The high times were good, but they pissed a golden opportunity away.
2) Way to go! Send out an e-mail to your "fans" and piss them all off! Maybe they were fairweather fans, maybe they only stick around to watch the free video clips, maybe they're all broke, trailer park trash you can't even afford a $30 DVD player and a $15 DVD of some cheap softcore porn, but they're still fans who were, at one point, willing to give you some free word-of-mouth advertising. Once again, golden opporrunity pissed away.
3) On the other hand, sometimes you gotta make a ballsy move to get something going. So maybe this pays off in the long run. Better than sitting around on your asses getting drunk and just talking about what you want to do.
4) Truth be told, I think I'll steal this e-mail campaign idea of yours and apply it to some other places. To show my gratitude, I won't even mention that I got it from you guys. Thanks! :-)
Thanks for the entertainment, the check is in the mail, sincerely.

To show my gratitude, I won't even mention that I got it from you guys. Thanks! :-) Thanks for the entertainment, the check is in the mail, sincerely. Enough is a phuckin nuff already. It's people like this idiot who have no phuckin clue what they're talking about and get their info from the "swim" fan. A psycho wrestling fan that got her feelings hurt when she wasn't accepted because she "couldn't" do things that were asked of her. She wanted to be involved but couldn’t perform certain duties cause she didn’t know how. In the wrestling business or anything else that you want to get ahead in, you find a way to get done what you need to succeed. Look at Mickie she would NEVER think about kissing a chick and doing those risqué girl on girl scenes, but she does it because she wants to be there and not blow her chance. A psycho wrestling fan that ALSO bootlegs our stuff. But we don't know what we're doing? You and the others are the one who STEAL from us every phuckin day. DWOW is not jealous of ECW or WWE. Granted they have things that we would like to accomplish on day on some level. WEW on the other hand was GLOOW, bottom line, except with the adult scenes (that made no sense I add). The ideas and concepts were taken and GLOOW was left to die. Except, one person saw the need and want from fans and check this... the wrestlers and staff wanted it back. Why you ask? Because even at our worst a DWOW show is better than WEW. The pure entertainment value of DWOW is way over what WEW tries to put out there and we're just getting restarted. The girls would rather work DWOW than WEW any day! So you don't know what you're talking about when you stated, "hell they could have had what WEW has, and they smoked it like a bong. The high times were good, but they pissed a golden opportunity away." Again, you and others really have NO clue on what went on and goes on currently here (but you can read it in my book!). Please inform me how we pissed a golden opportunity away? I can't wait to hear this. It's funny how you throw the phuckin swords around coming here with all your attitude, but you STEAL our phuckin footage daily to use on your free websites and bootleg dvds. I know, but you're supposedly "helping" us. You want to get noticed Kevin, I will notice you if you like and you won't be happy when it's all said and done and I'm not talking in the "wrestling" realm. Truth be told you'll steal this concept and many others in your lifetime, but that's okay WE'RE FLATTERED! What exactly do you have going for you besides stealing our shiot? You have NO idea how to hype, promote or market anything worthwhile, that's why you steal from us and others. If you did know what you were doing you wouldn't be bothering posting here, but busy promoting your company. I'm honored that you, as well as others steal from DWOW and me Steve "The Sound Guy" on a daily basis. You know so much, start your own company and make money at that. in fact get together with the "swim fan" and steal from each other. Have people bootleg your material that you paid hard earned money to obtain, see how you like it. Finally, we don't send you phuckin 50 emails a day... it's more like 5 on certain days when things are poppin. If you don't like it, unsubscribe! No one is holding a gun to your head. I'm sure you'll be bootlegging something from the GLOOW / DWOW library in the near future and I won't be surprised. And I'm sure you'll have something to say after you read this. TYPE AWAY and prepare to LOSE! The Sound Guy

Just to throw my 2 cents in. I too was a fan of the old ECW. I saw tapes I heard of from friends in the mid 90s, and a motivation to get DirecTV in the first place was just to see it regularly.
I've been sitting here considering whether or not I want to touch ony any points made in that rant by sound guy --- for the time being I'll pass and lets see if anyone else bothers.
Back to ECW Look people need to take last week's show for a grain of salt. The first while of this NEW ECW is designed to attract in global WWE viewers, not be entirely what the old ECW was. I mean heck look at the event schedule --- the ECW arena is on there. They won't do that crap there.
Yes a weapons match with tin foil and justin credible getting squashed is horrible --- hell to put a womens spin on it, the jazz vs. mickie match was even worse. Jazz beat the crap out of her for 5 minutes then suddenly mickie pulled a DDT out of nowhere. Anyway the emphasis in that angle/credible match was supposed to be how tough angle's submission holds were. I mean tazz choked people out quickly. Most of Credible's title matches were against people like corino, not submission guys.
Did I just defent it? Well I'm not trying to, I merely am saying (forgot the lack of enter sandman, ugh) I kinda understand where they are coming from. Keep in mind the people who bought tickets to that show in trenton, bought tickets to a smackdown show, not an ECW one. I'm confident that once its known they are ECW events --- and they get past this introductory phase with WWE guys involved, that it will get better. In fact I bet they will move out of the big arenas as soon as they think its profitable to do so.
Again I'm not trying to defend it, just saying I understand it, and I have some optimism. I don't expect the show on tuesday to me much better, but hopefully next week it will be, after RVD loses the WWE title at vengeance(its too bad this is sooooooooooo telegraphed.), and they get the inter-brand involvement out.

Does anyone know the phrase... "Twisted Steel and Sex Appeal"? It was a phrase made popular by the original G.I. Ho that aired on our TV show back in 2001. Why do I bring this up you may be asking yourself? I'll tell you why... because once again the creative powers-that-be (who by the way did NOT coin that phrase) at WEW have stolen that famous catch phrase to title their next show, that is why. Even as time goes by, we (DWOW / GLOOW) still get ripped off to this day.
This just goes to re-enforce the fact that people still ideas from DWOW everyday. Granted we are not the creator of everything, but if "you" say something, we can say "something".
Our time is coming, believe it when you see it.

Steve "The Sound Guy" Well, if that's the case, why don't you (DWOW) and Them (WEW) settle it in the ring? Get together for 1 night ONLY and settle the score! The fans would get to see an awesome show, you'd draw a big house and both promotions could make a couple of bucks. THEN, show it on PPV. Why Not?? Louie

Twisted steel and sex apeal was one of the catch phrases of Super star Billy Graham, made popular in the late 70,s I believe Okay you may be correct, I wasn't aware of it. However, the first time G.I. Ho bumbled those words (which I knew someone fed her, which was also the first time I heard that phrase) and delivered them in a promo I knew it would become an instant classic, as it is downright horrible. She looked very uncomfortable during the promo. She was never any good at speaking on camera. So who knows maybe Mr. Creative stole those lines and fed them to her. For the record I was "NOT" Mr. Creative when it came to this line. SG

We have received a ton of feedback in the last week about DWOW's email blast concerning the E.C.W. TV show. I can tell you this, I will be watching tonight. I hope it's better than last week! No matter what though, we (DWOW) will speak our mind on the positive and the negatives, so expect yet ANOTHER email tomorrow.
In concerns to all the feedback, it really is everyone's choice to be apart of the DWOW family. If you receive our emails and they irritate you or clutter your inbox, unsubscribe to our emails and check the site out if and when you want. Don't blame us if you miss something or are the last to know about things. No one is making you subscribe to the emails. It takes one or two clicks to be unsubscribed from either list.
DWOW's attitude and the way we do things is very similar to what E.C.W. used to be, the main difference is that we mainly use women, with some guys... while E.C.W. used mainly guys with some women. And finally we were both created to be alternatives to the norm.

Before we start with this E.C.W TV show, let’s give credit to Paul Heyman, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Tazz, Sandman, Joey Styles, the other true E.C.W. roster players. These guys really gave their heart and soul to E.C.W. back in its heyday. Then E.C.W. goes belly up and lands in the McMahon’s investment portfolio, only to be shelved and re-generated only after the fans continue their stink long enough.
Good for Paul Heyman, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Tazz, Sandman, Joey Styles and the other true E.C.W. roster players as they cash in on all their hard work they did in their previous E.C.W. life. Some may say their stealing money, but I think if anything they deserve this vacation. I totally understand that E.C.W. is ultimately under Vince McMahon’s thumb, how unfortunate it is for them, that they can’t expose their brand of E.C.W. I know if more people witnessed the original E.C.W. (if they had the exposure back then), it would be incredibly huge today! I'm sure it kills each and every one of them to do this WWE version of ECW, but it's life... Take the money and run fellas! I’m sure if I or anyone reading this would take the same gig, no matter how watered down it has become.
Lastly, I hope DWOW never becomes too big, as it will lose it’s edge I’m sure due to the suits and higher ups who “know” what things should be, regardless of how old and out of touch they are. I guess sometimes it’s better to be the big dog in a small pond, instead of the other way around.
