For all of you wondering what the second big announcement was going to be, but was recently kaboshed... here it is... FINALLY! You wanted the dirt… now roll around in it!
In signing with Big Vision Entertainment, DWOW was supposed to have a bonus match and trailer for our debut release "Extremely Dangerous Women of Wrestling" on upcoming BVE releases to promote our release. One of BVE’s releases interested DWOW most. What release was that? Ladies and gentlemen do you remember a company called GLOW WRESTLING aka The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. The original GLOW Wrestling is coming back, currently with DVDs distributed through Big Vision also. For the record, GLOW's first release is due out very soon.
It seems that the now owner of GLOW Ursula Hayden requested that our material not appear on her DVD. Ms. Hayden and her vision for GLOW is exactly what GLOW was back in 1980. She feels that Women's Wrestling should only be done the GLOW way and is very protective of her brand name, which we can understand to a point. It should also be stated that there are some past issues from DWOW's --GLOOW era, with the prior ownership in Ms. Hayden's eyes. The current ownership extends a sincere apology for any miscommunication and difficulties in dealing with the past regime and only hope that DWOW and GLOW can work hand and hand in the future. We also would like to state that we hold no hard feelings against GLOW or Ms. Hayden and respect her for the decision she has currently made.
A working relationship between GLOW and DWOW could prove to be a powerful combination, since both companies appeal to different audiences. The exposure for both companies on a cross-promotional campagin could be huge.
Let it be known that DWOW is allowing previews for the GLOW DVD to be placed on our debut National release "Extremely Dangerous Women of Wrestling" regardless and hopes to show Ms. Hayden that The Dangerous Women of Wrestling are open to working together in the future. We wish her and GLOW the best of success!
