Is it only me or do male wrestlers seem gay when compared with the wrestlers I grew up with in the 70's and 80's? I mean today it's all speedo tights and shaving all your body hair off like a girl. And everyone looks like they are on steroids which means they probably are. To be honest I have lost interest in male wrestling as I have gotten older. I think it has turned into a prissy queer fest. Bring back the days of Rowdy Roddy Piper and Andre the Giant. They were great characters. These new guys are wussies. And Vince McMahon seems like a big headed overpaid clown these days too. He used to be cool before his head got too big. I'm glad the XFL blew up in his face. But I do like the Ladies wrestling. It's much more entertaining in my opinion. I would rather watch local girls that appreciate fans coming out than so called "pro" wrestlers. I'm looking forward to seeing some live events again.

Funny you should mention this. I have the same sentiments.
I'm not quite sure why the guys are shaved down. Is it for appearance? Hygiene? Maybe hair gets "pinched" or pulled when contact is made and it's painful? Those are some reasons I have thought of.
But think about ALL sports where physical contact is made. Can it be linked to homosexuality? Maybe indirectly? Could be. And the more contact, the closer that link is. Football is thought to be macho, yet men grabbing other men is, well.... And wrestling? My lord! The competitors are physically bonding the ENTIRE TIME! That's amateur wrestling I speak of. Pro wrestling is not wrestling. It's strictly a show. i.e. No competition.
That's not to say male wrestlers are homosexuals. Maybe a few are but most are not.
I kinda got off of your question a little bit there. Yes, there is a more "gay" look to the pro guys of today when compared to yesterday. At least in the WWE.

Back in the day you could attest some homosexuality to whatever schtick the wrestler was working. Nowadays it does seem in fact that the whole genre of the male wrestler is drifting towards a less masculine approach. Alot of it may be due to a more rampant steroid problem and of course these guys having an incredible"I Love Me" grandeur about them. The indie circuits can teach these guys alot of lessons. Plain and simple, the WWE needs to get back to basics with male wrestling and make it a sport again and not "sports entertainment". Of course if the WWE Diva's decided to go down the homosexual road then I would more than likely deal with that problem very well.

I agree with this topic because it does seem that all they do is wear mink coats & boa's.
I mean come on guys.
