A few months back we made it official here on the message board that DWOW has given up on talks with the former Women's World Champion, The Original G.I. Ho.
If you haven't followed the whole story, here's the very, very short version. G.I. Ho left the business in what she claimed was a career driven move. Others close to the situation (US and close family friends) know for a fact that G.I. Ho was disgruntled on her treatment and the handling of her personal situations, business matters and health related issues. Which is the real truth, we may never know. We can tell you for a fact that her move to leave wrestling wasn't a career oriented as after she left the company she worked as a security guard rent-a-cop and as a show sales women at a North Jersey Mall.
After several top secret meetings and serious proposals to G.I. Ho, she and her new boyfriend declined to be involved on any level, as we offered a few different scenarios. Rest assured that DWOW did everything in our power, including offering medical insurance to her, in addition to other unheard of perks on our business level. We really wanted to see things work out and give G.I. Ho her due. Unfortunately, communication was finally terminated after a nasty message was left by her irate boyfriend, who does not want G.I. Ho in the wrestling business, for whatever reasons. We debated about posting the message on our site, but decided not to.
We have had no contact with either G.I. Ho or her boyfriend for months now, and there are no plans now or in the future to contact her about re-joining the company. We have come to terms that this relationship would not work in our current business mold and with her current relationship. The Original G.I. Ho claims, “to be wed, with child in the near future” as discussed in our last phone conversation. The Dangerous Women of Wrestling have decided to move forward.
We are sorry to our fans, but we did try, more than you may ever know. Who knows it could be in the documentary lol You never know, there could be a break up, we could be on a whole other level (Nationally) on cable and Pay Per View and someone could bump into her at the local strip club. Who knows maybe that romance of DWOW and G.I. Ho could be reignited down the line. You never know.
So officially to close... The Original G.I. Ho era is over and done with.
DWOW has NO plans on replacing the G.I. Ho character with another wrestler.
-MOD.
