I don't like having to be negative on the board but this is getting out of hand. It is getting really tired very quickly how I get an e-mail saying "Check the boards for a new, big announcement" and all there is to read is a post saying a big anouncement is coming. It's a let-down. You are literally anouncing that an annoucement in coming. I understand you're letting us know big stuff is headed our way, but it gets old VERY quick where we go looking for something that isn't there.

... And you haven't learned by now what to expect? Does getting e-mail raise your heart or something so you're not safe?

Yeah, my heart rate got raised so high, I had to call the EMT's - Actually, Sha, the pics of GI Ho in your sig make logging onto this board totally worthwhile no matter what else is going on - especially if I haven't seen them for a few days ;D

i don't like to be negative either but i totally agree with wresclothesline and jamieniles.
i understand you're trying to get people into the habit of visiting the message board, but how about doing that by actually having some interesting stuff here instead of sending spam mail begging us to visit, only to find nothing new or useful at all? that only makes people resent the time it took to go and look at the board, be disappointed in a lack of anything as earth-shattering as the email indicates, and develop a distaste for visiting. i got not one, but TWO emails on Saturday all giddy with excitement about a big announcement, only to find nothing (unless you call a new logo exciting?) when I visited.
emails say: "SuNdAy Announcement TODAY!!!" "Today on our message board more information and an announcement... You must go now and see it for yourself..."
board says: "In spite of not having any new information to report today.."
FFS maybe you shouldn't send out mass emails babbling about something big until you are actually sure you can DELIVER?!?!
i really love women's wrestling and want to support a professional promotion but it's bull like this that keeps women's wrestling businesses filed under "ghetto". next time i see something like this news@dangerouswrestling.com and dw@dangerouswomenofwrestling.com will become victims of my spam filter.
have a nice day.

I agree that when you send an announcement it should include something tangible.
Hell, I think most of us would be happy with a PIC being posted.
At the least have the announcement be a teaser. maybe something like this...
"Huge Announcement coming soon regarding...X."
Even if it hasnt been finalized it will lead the members to use their imagination & have them keep visiting. I know I would.
Even if it ends up falling through so what, we are all adults we know that ALL deals wont happen & will probably know that it will be the other parties fault because they wont agree to something (usually money).
I think the fans on this site will keep tuning in even if its for a teaser.
Just my .02.

We have just returned from a very busy Monday, as it relates to the upcoming event. We were a bit surprised at how some of you have responded to the announcement within the last 24 hours. First, let us state that we are doing our best to make sure all angles are covered with the upcoming event. One loose end could have the event come to a crashing halt, and we don’t want that to happen. We apologize for letting anyone down with Sunday’s non-announcement. However, if we give away all the information, especially without it being confirmed, we lose all credibility and we would never be able to exist or survive, or for that fact keep and build our fan base. Secondly, no one would be interested in the upcoming event or anything else we do. We have survived since 1999. We have outlasted most all other women’s companies / adventures. We know how to do something right, not much, but some things.
So to ask you the fans, would you have rather us not announce anything on Sunday? Did you know that it was a monumental day for the company? We launched the new logo two weeks early to at least give you something. Read into it what you will. What does it all mean?
Now we’ll talk about some good and valid points some of our posters made. Now to the fans and some quick insight…
wresclothesline: I love how you guys make announcements that announce nothing.. Can't this only immenently lead to disappointment?
DW: We did announce that we had nothing to announce due to certain things out of our control. We announced our new logo. It’s disappointing to US not to announce what we wanted to, but again we couldn’t.
jamieniles: It is getting really tired very quickly how I get an e-mail saying "Check the boards for a new, big announcement" and all there is to read is a post saying a big anouncement is coming. It's a let-down. You are literally anouncing that an annoucement in coming. I understand you're letting us know big stuff is headed our way, but it gets old VERY quick where we go looking for something that isn't there.
DW: Again, we understand what you are saying, but please understand our positions. If you would like to be removed from our email list, please follow the instructions located at the bottom of our email updates. And there is BIG stuff headed this way very soon!
tsaotablem: i understand you're trying to get people into the habit of visiting the message board, but how about doing that by actually having some interesting stuff here instead of sending spam mail begging us to visit, only to find nothing new or useful at all? that only makes people resent the time it took to go and look at the board, be disappointed in a lack of anything as earth-shattering as the email indicates, and develop a distaste for visiting. i got not one, but TWO emails on Saturday all giddy with excitement about a big announcement, only to find nothing (unless you call a new logo exciting?) when I visited.
i really love women's wrestling and want to support a professional promotion but it's bull like this that keeps women's wrestling businesses filed under "ghetto".
DW: While we appreciate what you’re saying, we have to do what is right for this to be a success. If you would like to be removed from our email list, please follow the instructions located at the bottom of our email updates. We have to do the things we do sometimes. And sometimes you the fans and even our staff wonder why. There is a reason why we do the things we do! And yes the logo is exciting, as it does have a message behind it. And really nothing we announce is earth shattering, but it is for this company. Finally without a very fat budget, we will continue to run like we do. So call us ghetto, or whatever, but we are STILL out there after all these years! We’ve done it since 99, when dozens of others failed. If it wasn’t for DANGEROUS WOMEN OF WRESTLING / GLOOW there would be no WEW (Women’s Extreme Wrestling) on IN DEMAND or TVN. Look at WOW they blew 2 million in a year. If we had 2 million, or even a million to work with this company would be VERY Dangerous (pun included!).
caff627: Even if it ends up falling through so what, we are all adults we know that ALL deals wont happen & will probably know that it will be the other parties fault because they wont agree to something (usually money).
DW: We are doing everything in our powers to make sure the deal doesn’t fall through. That is why we made the announcement we made.
We hope that sheds some light on the things we do and why. Now that it’s been documented here, we won’t be able to explain ourselves every time something goes not the way it was planned.
Thanks for your support…
And there is an announcement coming soon!

"..if we give away all the information, especially without it being confirmed, we lose all credibility and we would never be able to exist or survive.."
yet you're not worried about your credibility when you "announce that we had nothing to announce"?
