this is the reason TNA sucks ass people who should stay backstage prefer to put themselves over. SG the perfect example! Fans really amaze me some times, especially the smart ones like djextrme. Now don't get me wrong, I think the Sound Guy can be a prick at times and likes to stir things up but with that being said give the guy a break. First, I don't know how long you (djextreme) have followed DWOW but I have followed them since 2000 (the GLOOW era). I'm not sure of the entire structure of the company or what have you but The Sound Guy was a gimmick given to him by Dan Kowal "the boss" as some people refer to him. Steve has even said it in a few interviews how he came to be and all. From what I know Dan put Steve out there for whatever reasons. I know that SG does ALOT of the work for the company and maybe thats his kickback, who knows. Even though he irrates me at times and I hate writing this he seems to play the role well. UNLIKE TNA, he is not and never has been the world champion and he has lost almost every match he's ever been in. I don't see any one having that much stroke or ego, stepping aside to advance the careers of strippers. No one ever forced me to buy his hat and shirt. I liked what he did one night and I had the urge to buy them. So unlike Jeff Jarrett and company, the Sound Guy (I can't believe I'm typing this) is a company talent, like it or not. A team player as it seems. Damn I hate myself. I'm gonna go smash my fingers with a hammer now! lol Sound Guy... you STILL SUCK!

You know what, I am really sticking with the sound guy on this one, if you dont like it dont come!
As for the comment about strippers so what??? Yeah maybe some of the girls may have been strippers, but without guys like you there would be no strip clubs. And honestly not just any stripper is going to make it in wrestling. Wrestling is hard, and it takes a tough woman to get in the ring. Hell I am sure 98% of the "haters" here wouldnt last more than a moment if they tried to wrestle.
I am still working on my training. I haave been in the biz for 2 years and got my start with DWOW back in the day. I did oil and shaving cream matches with tai, and gi ho (yes the original) at one show and with summer at another. And whether you believe it or not, the oil wrestling can be more real than pro wrestling. and no pro wrestling isnt fake, if any of you could do what I do and have the audacity to call out someone like amy lee (at another promotion in north carolina) like i did, get your ass kicked and still want to be a wrestler, I give you props.
The rest of you should show a little respect for a company and the talent that works hard to put together one of the most entertaining Products in independent wrestling today. I do a decent amount of shows all over the north east and have yet to work for another company that pulls off the stuff DWOW does.
No one runs on time Sometimes talent does not show up IT HAPPENS ticket prices dont make up for the time and money you spend promoting, this biz is not qabout money its about the love of wrestling, if you dont love it leave it.

Well well well. Lookie here at what I stumbled across. People with their panties in an uproar!
As for Bret, maybe instead of wondering who is still with DWOW maybe you should find out who is coming into DWOW! Like yours truly! And let's be honest Bret we all know what a huge fan of mine you are!!! I also know for a fact that I am not the last new face you will see coming into DWOW.

Liz,
Just read what you had written about the how's and why's of the biz. I must agree with you on the reality that most people wouldn't last in the ring. I honestly had the opportunity presented to myself and a friend of mine to go through wrestling training by New Jack and Moostapha (sp) from ECW. We did not have the capital to pay what they were asking for, $ 2,000. It would have been nice to have been trained to possibly have been involved in the Philly local wrestling scene.
The closest opportunity I had of being in the ring was at a DWOW show in 2002. I was a fan referee in a shaving cream match between Tai Weed and Lucky The Cripple. At the end of the match, Tai clotheslined me and pinned me for the three count. I could do nothing but laugh my ass off! At the end of the night, Tai had told me that I took the fall "like a pro."
So to sum things up, if I had the opportunity to be in the ring as an amature, I'd jump on it! I also give credit to the Sound Guy for being in the ring as a "Talent," not as a "Jobber," regardless how many rib shots he takes from myself and others.

Look at the chatter starting up now! Look I don't care about Cristol, Liz Savage, those fat phuckin Maes, Missy Samonite, Jana, Nikki Roxx, those no talents Amy Lee, Tai, Isis or the ho's some of you want to see in this company. What I do give two shits about is beating every single bitch that gets in my way (w/The Smoke of course) as we will finally shut this company down once and for all.

Especially the part about pulling things off... what other indy company, let alone women's company puts almost a 1,000 people in a building for a show? None on the women's side, EXCEPT DWOW! SG

There's another women's company??? Yea, I see what you mean, 'cause if you look at where he says "...and a few more..." he could be refering to men, which I wasn't thinking of because I don't think about men. ;D
