Well, well, well.
It seems as though we have a two horse race now. Between myself, and Robert.
And while Robert may have a computer set to vote for himself over and over and over again, let me assure you, the fine fans of DWOW of one thing. My reputation speaks for itself.
You all don't get to see the resumes of the contestants, so, please, allow me to fill you in on a little of my history.
I am, simply put, the greatest TV commentator in the Tennessee area. Cocky? Maybe. Brash? You're damn right. The truth? It has to be. Who else has called his own show, featuring the top in male wrestlers today from TNA, WWE, OVW, and anywhere else in the country, then on the SAME DAY, made it to Memphis to call some classic matches from Jerry Lawler's part of the woods?
I watched everyone's clip. And let me tell you something. Joe is getting the raw deal. If this were to come down to a two horse race, it should be me, of course, and Joe.
Joe, if you're reading this, I tip my hat to you. You have tremendous knowledge of the technical side of wrestling. I would love to work with you sometime in the future. If not as a colleague in DWOW, then perhaps elsewhere.
Then there is the supposed second horse in this race...
Robert. Who, as we speak, is currently stacking the deck in his favor...I know...I'm watching the polls. Yes, I am that eager for this job.
Robert...do you really think you could hand in this industry? No tone change in your voice. No passion. No anything. I watched as a man attempted and connected with a suicide dive through the ropes and you called it as if the guy had locked on a shoulder wrench with wrist lock. Are suicide dives that basic now?
I know there are those of you thinking "Well, Scott must be stacking the deck too! Look at how many votes he's got!"
No. That is simply put my ability to remain the TOP guy in the state. From Memphis to Nashville on into Chattanooga, there is, BAR NONE, anyone better or more knowledgeable than The Authority.
You don't think I'm popular? Then how come it's taken me a while to catch up to Robert? I've earned my votes. One at a time. Yet mysteriously Robert catches up to my 200 vote lead in a matter of minutes.
Get real Robert. It's not happening. My popularity, ethics, and honesty will win out.
My people, the fans of the Southland will speak.
My accomplishments, 2 time "Voice of Tennessee" recipient, Memphis Wrestling, TNA, will all speak for themselves.
The better man might not win the public vote here on the Announcer Idol contest, Robert, but rest assured, the better man WILL rise to the top.
You may not like it, but that is the gospel truth, and, come one day, you will know that you must....
Respect.
My.
Authority.
I'm out.
