The plot thickens I guess, as former E.C.W. / W.W.E. Superstar The Blue Meanie throws his hat into the ring and accepts the challenge of “Pryme Tyme” Amy Lee for The Dangerous Women of Wrestling Women’s World Title at “New Year’s Rezzho-lution”.
As funny as this may seem, this is not the first time a man has challenged for the Women’s World title in this company. One of the more memorable inter-gender battles for the Women’s World Title was G.I. Ho vs. MTV Tough Enough Star Greg Matthews back at Hovember 2002. G.I. Ho took a beating and almost lost to Greg Matthews, but Brittney “The Schoolgirl” interfered in the match as G.I. Ho won the match. During the time leading up to Hovember, Mr. Matthew’s made a few appearances at live events and even on The Dangerous Women of Wrestling TV Show. Some say Hovember was the day that G.I. Ho peaked and started her decline as a women’s wrestler, others will refute that point.
“Pryme Tyme” Amy Lee is one tough women, as she has made many opponents tap out and put a hurting on them. She has a loud bark and seems to be able to back it up, but can she this time out? Amy claims she has many alliances from bikers to pro wrestlers. Unable to rely on her normal back up in The Sound Guy (who claims he will not be at the event due to scheduling) or The Smoke (who recently moved to Green Bay and the company is strapped for airfares), she was recently heard talking to her “financial advisor” about some moves in the market and interestingly enough, wrestling holds and tactics. I only know of one “financial / wrestling advisor” and he doesn’t care for The Blue Meanie.
With the Blue Meanie you never know what you’ll get with him. He has donned many costumes and gimmicks over his years in wrestling, which one of his alter egos will present itself at “New Year’s Rezzho-lution”? The Blue Meanie has many friends in wrestling too, but has also made a few enemies. Amy Lee puts herself on his enemy list automatically for him coming into her “house”. In retrospect, The Blue Meanie has accomplished a lot of things in his tenure, from being a long term E.C.W. roster member to signing with the W.W.E. and traveling the world, but never a Women’s World Title holder. The Blue Meanie knows that “Pryme Tyme” Amy Lee is not the most honest or fairest player in the book and says that he will have “friends” watching his back, as a lot of former E.C.W. and other pro wrestlers still live in the tri-state area.
What exactly is The Blue Meanie trying to accomplish by challenging and possibly winning the Women’s World Title belt from “Pryme Tyme” Amy Lee on February 2nd 2006 at “New Year’s Rezzho-lution” at the former E.C.W. arena in Philadelphia, PA? Does he really have nothing better to do that day or is he tired of “Pryme Tyme” Amy Lee and her boys terrorizing the locker rooms of Women’s Pro Wrestling companies? Does he really want to be Women’s World Champion? Does he have his eye on one of the chicks that he would like to score with? Or since he may know that the ownership of this company is very shaken at this point, that this is an ideal time to take over D.W.O.W. since his defunct 3PW went under? Plus, wouldn’t most of the D.W.O.W. fans like to see the belt off “Pryme Tyme” Amy Lee and on someone else anyway??? Isn’t anyone a better candidate then Amy Lee?
“Pryme Tyme” Amy Lee has been The Dangerous Women of Wrestling World Champion since March 4, 2003. What does this mean exactly? It means Amy Lee has been the D.W.O.W. Women’s World Champion for almost three years come February 2, 2006 and most likely longer than any other Women’s Champion in this company, including the original G.I. Ho. What would the title mean if a man won the belt? Not only that, The Blue Meanie as Women’s World Champion? What will all the workers say? Finally, if Amy Lee loses the Women’s World Title what will her “boys” say… or do to her for that matter?

I think the match will be entertaining. But I don't really consider Amy a wrestler as she never takes a back bump and doesn't do much more than brawl.
The Blue Meanie should be able to carry her!

I’m not sure what implications the following report will play on New Year’s Rezzho-lution but I’m sure it could be a factor. It was reported last night that G.I. Ho v.2 (aka The Rezz) was recently involved in a domestic dispute in Michigan where the police were summoned. From what we hear this was not the typical man beats woman wearing wife beater you usually see watching cops, but the other way around. This unfortunately is not part of some story line or angle for The Dangerous Women of Wrestling. More details if and when they become available.
