I just got word TODAY, RIGHT NOW, that DWOW has given their permission and released ALL talent. What exactly does this mean? I'm not 100% sure, but I will tell you that several DWOW talents have already been contacted by WEW (Women's Extreme Wrestling) to appear th their next taping in July in Philadelphia.
It is also rumored that DWOW has been sold or is being sold.
And I can't reach any of the higher ups now for confirmation or clarification.
This is MAJOR shit!
More when I get word.

I'm not 100% sure, but I will tell you that several DWOW talents have already been contacted by WEW (Women's Extreme Wrestling) to appear th their next taping in July in Philadelphia. For anyone keeping track; when DWOW began to talk about, and then run again starting in 2006, officials from DWOW and WEW met to talk about using seperate rosters for each show. Some thought it was ridiculous and thought they were just trying to keep the girls from making money, but in the reality of it all was DWOW was trying to present and compete with a different roster. DWOW has/had goals of presenting their own unique staffed talent roster to present to a National and International audience, different than what would be their main competitor WEW. With the release of DWOW talent, I would go out on a limb and say you would see majority of the talent to be utilized by WEW. I think one of the main reasons is they would be cheaper than flying in a bunch of talent and putting them up in hotels, with a lot of the DWOW talent being from the Philadelphia area, or close to it. I don't know where DWOW goes from here, but at this point with the delay in the production of new live events and the TV show that was announced almost a year ago, things don't look good! And to be honest that makes me sad. However, I could be wrong and things could get a total makeover, or restructing of the company, who knows at this point. I promise this though, I will be at work early tomorrow trying to get the scoop. I will bring it to you HERE first, as I have complete access to this board, unlike the website or myspace account. -MOD.

Update... just got my ear ripped off for posting what I did, but at this point from what I got, I don't care!
I was informed there will be some kind of press release issued about what I have reported thus far.
Interesting enough, when I asked about the status of ownership (actual) and if the company was sold or not, I received a "no comment at this time." Interesting to say the least.
More to come.

Talking to another part-timer, I was told to look for some MAJOR changes to the website. Funny though, pages to be DELETED and NOT added! Something is up here.

Hmmm. I'm unsure how to react. At least to that last statement. I meant what has it been threatened to be cloased 3 times? I mean I think once it actually was down for awhile.
What the hell happened to EDWOW V2 not only beeing imminent but a 3rd volume being ordered beyond that?
Perhaps Mr. O'neil needs to post another youtube video or whatever explaining the situation so somebody will actually believe it, seeing as how the last we heard from him at the superbowl he was saying things were going to blow up this year how we don't even know.

Oh one other thing involvong the VOD site, is it just going to be suddenly removed, or will there at least be another "bandwidth liquidation sale" like there was at the end of last year.

Ok so to some degree that was one of my late night semi-coherant rants. I suppose if there is an actual press release saying the company is being sold, thats official enough.

DWOW being sold??? Oh, man.... If you guys did that because I mentioned it....
Okay, I know the thread in the other section is for suggestions but I will say it here.
I thought DWOW had two options if it wanted to stay in business. The first would be to go back to it's roots, working bars and having audience participation. That's what set it apart. Yea, I was late jumping on the bandwagon but when I did experience it live it was quite a spectical. Sure, I'll admit I don't get out much, but I had never seen men from the audience bidding on the priviledge to oil up and then manage select lady wrestlers. Do they do that at WEW? I don't think so (I could be wrong but I don't read about it happening in reviews of shows) and therefore it's up to DWOW to fill that niche.
Speaking of WEW, the other option would be to get back together with them. It seemed like they were only doing three, maybe four live shows a year. DWOW could alternate events with them, kind of like a sister federation, and bring the total up to eight. Wasn't it like that not too long ago? The two companies worked side by side? But it may be too late for that now. I see where WEW is having another event in July. Since they just had one in May, it appears as though they are upping their live show workload, perhaps with the reality of DWOW's demise set in concrete. If that's the case, then option two is out.
Actually, if it's demise is unavoidable, option number one is no longer possible either.

When exactly, I don't think anyone knows for sure. Extremely Dangerous Women of Wrestling V2 is slated to hit the stores shelves (?) June 12th 2007. V3 was in production, not sure on the status of that. I do know there was some rumblings about the Big Vision deal from the higher up, not sure what exactly at this point either. -MOD.

I was told that there WILL be some kind of press release this week with pertinant information included. When asked what? I was told to wait and see like everyone else. When asked if I still had a job after it, I was told again to "wait and see". I am not happy at all! -MOD.

I don't think YOU sparked it though! lol I don't know what is going on, but one side of me says this may be it for DWOW... which I am really not happy about. The other side thinks there may a be a new begining on the horizons. Time will tell. -MOD.

No press release yet, but I have noticed the deletion of a ton of pages frm the DWOW site. Originally the DWOW site, before today, contained 180 pages, it now only has a fraction of that.
I'm not sure if this site is being re-done or not, can't get ANY info right now.

Geez mod this has to be hard on you seeing as how for all you know your job is at stake her as well.
Thinking of future availability of at least some DWOW DVDs, I was thinking of highspots.com. Somebody told me that you guys didn't just send them a bulk amount of discs to sell, but rather master copies that they were basically licensed to duplicate on their own (hence the warnings on all their listings about them being DVD-Rs).
Is that right? Because if it is, even if the VOD store vanishes like you're saying, at least you'll till be able to get some stuff from their, even if they don't exactly have the entire catalog.
Also, you said EDWOW v2 is still on track for a june 12th release, and as far as you know volume 3 is still being produced --- somebody has to be around to produced it don't they?
Also --- I mean, what point would it make for somebody to buy the company and then not sell any of the content --- I can only imagine they are thinking of revamping how its done.
I certainly can't think of anybody who would benefit from basically stomping the memory of DWOW out of exhistance by not doing so.
