Rumors around OUR office about a NEW DWOW live event early this summer? WTF is going on!!! Believe it or not!
More when I get something, than I have now reported. Yes, it could very well be true! And here's a question, what does it all mean about the recent announcement?
There are a TON of questions to be asked and answered.

I'm not that surprised. Releasing the talent had to save some money ... now you can pay them peanuts just to show up like other indy feds and not be paying them just to uh limit? who they work for.

Funny. I don't know if you know how much money is made at shows, but it's not as much as you think after expenses and day-to-day expenses, where we could offer huge paydays. Other companies pay less than us and some companies (ran by super marks) pay ALOT more. Also, your preception is a little off onhow things are actually done. BUT, if they were done like a major company, you would then be in the ballpark. -MOD.

Hey "Mod"
As you can see most fans seem to think us independent wrestlers make a lot of money, and receive residuals for appearing on DVD's.
They don't seem to realize how little we make, that our money goes to costuming, gas, training, and other expenses.
They also don't seem to realize 95% of the girls they see out there have day jobs to support their wrestling habit, that wrestling alone does not pay enough to survive on.
But then again some will never "get it" and will continue to talk about what they think they know. Running a show isn't easy by any means, and neither is making sure you promoted well enough to cover just the basic overhead of the show.
They don't realize that ring rentals, building rentals, barrier and chair rentals, security, talent payment, and promotional materials all have to be figured into the cost to run a show. I thought booking music shows was hard until i learned more about how wrestling really works.
There is always someone there with their hand out waiting for cash!
Looking forward to news from DWOW about an event! Its been too freaking long!

Liz I think I can speak for most fans when I say, we know for the vast majority of the indy talent out there, its not easy going.
There are only a few top talents who actually think (and have actually stated this in some cases) they think they can make more money this way. Talia madison and april hunter come to mind.
However, this has more to do with how little the WWE pays the females ... most of them make less than the base salary for the men in fact I'm not sure if any of them besides trish tratus have even equalled that level. Or thats what I hear anyway, its not like these things are published.

Also, I am officially confirming that the venue Alfie's was the original site chosen for the event. It took awhile and a management change before the DWOW show was booked, as Alfies was recently sold. -MOD.
