Beyond Dysfunctional Women's Wrestling Company, The Dangerous Women of Wrestling announce new ownership and staple talent and employee depart from company
As of Tuesday, December 25, 2007 The Dangerous Women of Wrestling announce new ownership takeover and the departure of Steve O'Neill as talent and employee. Mr. O'Neill has sold his interest in the company; and as of today has left the company on amicable terms. All previous contracts and licensing deals will run their contractual terms as Mr. O'Neill has transferred his rights from such dealings.
We would like to take a moment and acknowledge Mr. O'Neill and his accomplishments, without them we would not be here today. Steve O'Neill a.k.a. known by many as "The Sound Guy" has been with the company since its inception dating back to 1999. Steve has performed many duties for the company from website design, marketing, promotions, coordination and execution of live events, character development, TV / Radio / Print production, and a plethora of other duties. As a behind-the-scenes guy, an in-ring character, and Television personality, he wore many hats. Most who knew Steve either liked him or more popularly most disliked him for their own reasons. One thing true about Mr. O'Neill was he wears his heart on his collar and truly loved this product and company like no other person to ever have anything to do with it. He worked long, hard hours, usually just on the hopes of getting paid. Mr. O'Neill is an unsung hero, as most of the people who came through these doors either took what he did for granted, or more likely probably never knew exactly what he did and probably just thought he was the ignorant Sound Guy. Whatever it is that Steve "The Sound Guy" will be doing, we are sure he will be more than successful at it. We thank him for his tenure with the company and wish him only the best, as he has been a true professional in our dealings and in helping us to understand the marketplace and to make this as smooth of a transition as possible.
Presently, the new ownership of The Dangerous Women of Wrestling will be evaluating and re-evaluating the company on the grounds of what the future will hold. The new ownership company are not from a wrestling background, but from a business and distribution background, and are not related to either Mr. O'Neill or his former partner. This ownership regimen is starting fresh with this product and we will issue a press release in February 2008 and announce our intentions and plans with The Dangerous Women of Wrestling, products, services, live events, and websites at that time.
We would also like to address that more recently Mr. O'Neill's former partner also made it known that he was leaving the wrestling business. We would like to make it perfectly clear and assure readers that in no way are the two situations related.
The new ownership regimen would like to thank both Mr. O'Neill and his former partner for all their hard work and dedication to Women's Professional Wrestling and Entertainment. Without their work, Women's Wrestling may not have made the strides it has today. We wish Mr. O'Neill the best of luck and success in whatever he may do in the future. We hope that he would consider us for a distribution network when he produces the Dangerous Women of Wrestling documentary for marketing and distribution, as he allowed us to view segments of the interviews during the negotiations of our dealings to educate us on the nature of this beast called Professional Wrestling. The documentary is very enlightening and entertaining to say the least and we only saw raw unedited footage from the camera.
A new website is currently under construction and coming soon at its current location www.dangerouswomenofwrestling.com, as well as our next company press release in February 2008. Thank you for taking the time to read this information.
