Ooopps, sorry to be so harsh, but I got your attention!
Seriously, how can we go forward without fan support. Think about it. What 90% of the people who answered the previous thread about owning the DVD did NOT own it. Is it us, or do you people really not see it, or get it?

This seems to sum up what has been hyped up since May. This is what the die hard fans have been hearing since 06. This is the same recycled verbage that has been going on with this message board and company for years now.
There have been 3 "owners" since December '07. It seems all 3 of them have had the same ideas in mind, to sell old footage of a very good wrestling company of years past.
We are trying to get organized and familiarized with The Dangerous Women of Wrestling catalog and videos.
I think most of your "hard core" DWoW fans have gone on to "better" things. Maybe not, because some of us are still here. Some of us still hope that something can breath new life into this issue.
Maybe us, the DWoW fans are partly to blame. Over countless threads and topics, I have seen our fans pretty much beg the company to bring back talent who quite frankly, is not going to return. At least not in this stage of the game. There is no dedicated fan base that the "old talent" can say and know will show up at the doors. Some have retired, some have disappeared, and some prolly have a nice contract with other companies they may not want to jeopardize. Face it DWoW fans, the old isn't going to save this promotion, so stop living in the past.
Now back to The Moderator.
Go back and tell whoever owns this company that he/she/it should start small. There are concerts upcoming, live events always happening, radio stations doing things, whatever. Try to piggyback on them and do 1 or 3 free, quick matches, like you did with wing bowl years ago when you "drew" 20k+ fans. And in doing this, have a merch stand set up and pedal your DVDs of past there.
Now this is only my opinion, but I do not think you can start "new" trying to live off of the past. And again, IMO, you need live events, even if its a quick promo at a targeted demographics live event, so you can build interest. You can advertise basically for free via the net with all of the video sites out there you can upload at for free.
People want to see good womens wrestling. I have been to local events where it was nearly standing room only. Throw in a bit of TnA(not the promotion I must stress) that the men, and some women want to see, and you have a great product. Maybe have one or 2 good looking men out there the women can get moist over too, so you have a balanced demographic you can shoot for.(Women love watching beefcake run around in their underpants as much as men love seeing women in bikinis.) You know, we do not need to have full blown sex in the ring like other promotions do. There are strip clubs out there for that type of entertainment. I hope you get my drift.
So start small, your basement, "corporate" office, with little clips and segments. Get yourself 4-6 wrestlers who will work with you in the beginning doing these things, and have it in a contract that they will be compensated at a later date with w/e you agree upon. Post on youtube. Hell, if you are going to continue to run your infomercials, you could do ecw style interrupts with your 45 second break in on a new segment. Try to co-ordinate with radio stations to do a quick match or 2 or 3 at a concert, or maybe the Eagles will allow you to set up and do something during one of their pre game tailgates.
I myself will not fork over another dime on products of the past. I have been to live events of DWoW before buying front row all access deals. Spending money on the few videos I bought before that seemed to catch my eye, and countless cash on over priced, barely chilled beer. I enjoyed every minute of it though, but I do not need to buy anything else of a company that doesn't exist in that form anymore.
I hope I haven't come of as one of these "smart" know it all fans, for that was not my purpose at all. I just wanted to give my thoughts of what has been, what is, and what could be. I am only trying to help, and I hope I have in some degree or another.
Good day,
Walt
