Satellite TV is always coming down --- you watch what you want. There is no return transmission to come up with aggergated ratings even. That is still done entirely by "ratings boxes" or whatever --- only boxes that phone home like tivos do any of this. Cable boxes, may, I dunno, but since analog cable goes to the entire residence, there is really no way to track how many TVs are being uses, let alone what they are watching. The moral of this is, well this. Your old stuff should be free. You can still sell full DVDs of entire shows or whatever, but basically in order for the company have a future, you should basically mortage the past. These VODs should not only be free, but up on filetrading sites, on youtube, whatever. That is how you get exposure this day in age, not by selling a DVD, that if its any good, probably will end up all over the net free anyay.
For the record this reality is also impacting the WWE as well, because their PPV buyrates are in the toilet, and in order to sell out arenas they have to go into either big enough cities that there are still enough people interested enough to fill them up, or smaller ones they haven't been to much where they are still a new attraction.
Despite what they may what people to think TNA has never gotten out of the red and the only reason they are still in business is some pretty generous investors --- who for some reason thinks it has a future.
Whats the moral of this story? Well I dunno. Stop making fun of other promotions. Reminds me of what ECW did back in the day. --- Give away your old stuff --- so you can sell the new stuff. Its really that simple. If you don't, it goes without saying I fear the demise of the company.
Seriously. All joking aside. Do you partake in any drug use? Are you phuckin kidding me man? Give away the old stuff. You are a joke and probably I need to stop looking at whatever you post, because your views are ludicrous!
Think about it. Someone... people... partners... have invested money in doing DWOW. At the time, maybe they didn't do the best marketing or promotion to sell the product through. But whether it was then or now, they are entitled to recoup (you know so much about business, I'm sure you know what that word means) all their expenses. PLUS... get this... MAKE MONEY. Back then, a year ago, today, next year and fifty years from now. The footage in DWOW is worth something, not free as you would like it be.
Stop being so cheap and buy something. Don't talk about supporting the company, do it. You always have something to say, as you always dissect every phuckin announcement or post. Things aren't what you like? Start your own company and YOU GIVE YOUR FOOTAGE AWAY!!!
And your wrong about cable usage and ratings too! I would like to know what YOU do for a living, as you seem to be such an expert on everything on how to run DWOW. In fact if you did run this company, you could start to plan the funeral asap!
In reality of why WWE's PPV's buy rates are down. Think about it. Back in the good old days you had one Pay Per View a month and one company to follow. WWE now gives you three companies to follow. Story lines, characters (no matter how good or bad), merchandise and Pay per Views and now WWE 24/7. People only have so much extra income to spend on entertainment. It is that plain and simple. People would watch wrestling once a week when I was younger and we NEVER missed it. Now there's so much wrestling on TV, I don't even bother watching none of it. WWE is bad, but TNA is HORRIBLE! Yes, their wrestling is good, but the story lines and the entertainment value is just NOT there!
For the record we are on YOUTUBE and GOOGLE with free samples.
And to close we will quote your final lines "Give away your old stuff --- so you can sell the new stuff. Its really that simple. If you don't, it goes without saying I fear the demise of the company." I CAN NOT BELIEVE YOU BELIEVE THESE STATEMENTS. Please go away and NEVER come back to DWOW... here... the website and the vod site! Please do us all a favor and go waste your time and money on your own wrestling company. You talk like a true mark.
Thank you and good night!
